Thanksgiving Recipes: Sopapilla Cheesecake

Thanksgiving is creeping up on us and we wanted to bless you with a quick and easy recipe that will leave your family members in an awe when they taste these amazing sopapilla cheesecake bars... (after all you don't feel like slaving in the kitchen when theres plenty of eating to be done!)

What You Will Need:

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2c sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 (8oz) pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 (8oz) packs of philadelphia cream cheese (room temperature)
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Spray 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray
  3. Press 1 can of crescent rolls onto the bottom of the pan making sure that the bottom is completely covered including edges
  4. Bake this layer for 5 min and remove from oven...in the meantime..
  5. Mix cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and vanilla (this is your filling)
  6. Spread the filling evenly over the bottom layer of crescent roll
  7. Roll out the remaining roll over the top of the filling. Make sure to seal and stretch the edges of the dough
  8. Brush the top of the crescent roll with melted butter
  9. Sprinkle the top with the (cinnamon/ 1/2 cup sugar combined) 
  10. Bale for 30min or until golden brown. Let cool, then slice into bars. Enjoy warm or cold!
